Six Causes of Dry Skin (And the Remedies)

With care, you can beat dry skin

Causes and Appearance
What leads to dry skin doesn't have to be complicated. It can be brought on by using harsh soaps, long, hot showers or even the wrong type of clothing. But medications can also lead to dry skin. It's important to figure out what's causing your dry skin in order to treat it.

Dry skin can appear anywhere-most often found on the arms, hands, lower legs, and abdomen and quite often you just feel it instead of see it. It can make the skin look gray on people with dark skin and lead to embarrassment and self-consciousness about their appearance. Since the majority of these types of skin problems are caused by external factors, it can be treated externally.

What Are Lice and How to Get Rid of Them

Lice are small insects that don't have wings. They are brownish color and they are very tiny when they are born. That's why it is hard to see them. Full grown lice are about the size of a small sesame seed. Head lice cannot fly or swim and they only spread by person touching the other person.

How do the lice reproduce?
It begins with a female louse laying eggs near the hair roots to keep the eggs warm. The eggs hatch about seven days later and baby lice are born. The nits or the empty eggshells stay glued on your hair. When your hair grows out the nits become visible and you will notice that there is something white stuck to your head. Then you will know that you probably have lice. It takes them about seven to ten days to become fully grown. When they are grown they begin to go from one head to another, usually looking for a new home.

A Black Soap Acne Regimen Can Provide Great Results

Black soap acne treatment is becoming a more popular option for individuals with problematic skin. Other acne products promise a smooth, clear complexion, but often these products contain hard chemicals like high concentrations of benzoyl peroxide that can exasperate the acne problem. Overly dry skin can actually cause breakouts contrary to popular belief. While oily skin can be prone to blemishes because the oil deposits on the skin can clog pores with oil and dirt, overly dry skin can cause pores to become clogged with dead, dry skin cells.

Proper, gently, daily exfoliation is so important for individuals with skin problems. Blemishes, bumps, acne, age or sun spots fade away and skin appearance is greatly improved when dead, tired skin cells are gently lifted and removed from the surface of the skin. This allows skin to breathe and show newer, younger skin cells on the surface.
